Francine Shapiro Legacy Library

Created by Dr. Barbara Hensley, the Francine Shapiro Legacy Library honors Dr. Francine Shapiro, the originator and developer of Eye Movement Desensitization (EMD), Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) Model, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

The  Library serves as a comprehensive resource for clinicians, researchers, and the general public, offering access to information on the effectiveness of EMDR therapy across a wide range of mental health issues.

The Francine Shapiro Legacy Library (FSLL) compiles scholarly articles, research studies, and significant writings related to the AIP model and EMDR therapy.

The purpose of the Legacy Library is to maintain an accurate and up-to-date collection of citations concerning AIP and EMDR therapy. It does not include citations for methods or adaptations developed outside of EMDR.

Inclusion of citations in FSLL does not constitute endorsement by Hope International University or the EMDR community.

NOTE: The Library curates and shares sources of information on AIP, EMD, and EMDR but does not host the copyrighted materials themselves. Due to the national and international copyright restrictions, only materials available in the public domain are accessible.
