EMDR (Eye Movement Desensibilisierung und Wiederaufbereitung) hat sich als ein unabhängiger, effektiver und empirisch validierten Ansatz für die Behandlung von chronischen posttraumatischen Belastungsstörung (PTSD) bei Erwachsenen. Diese Arbeit gibt einen Überblick über den Stand der Forschung in die Anwendung von EMDR bei traumatisierten Kindern und Jugendlichen. Die verfügbaren randomisierten kontrollierten Studien zusammengefasst und auf ihre methodistischen Wert bewertet. Die empirisch gestützte und wirksame Behandlung beschrieben. Die Ergebnisse zeigen - wenn auch auf einem schmalen empirischen Basis -, dass EMDR, als bei Kindern und Jugendlichen verwendet wird, zeigt eine vergleichbare Wirksamkeit bei der Symptomreduktion und Effizienz (begrenzte Behandlungsdauer) bei Erwachsenen beobachtet. Fragen im Zusammenhang mit der Integration der Behandlung in das bestehende Versorgungsstruktur diskutiert.
EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) has proved to be an independent, effective, and empirically validated approach for the treatment of chronic post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in adults. This work provides an overview of the status of research into the use of EMDR in traumatized children and adolescents. The available randomized controlled studies are summarized and assessed for their methodistic value. The empirically supported and effective treatment is described. The results show - albeit on a narrow empirical basis - that EMDR, when used in children and adolescents, demonstrates a Comparable effectiveness in symptom reduction and efficiency (limited treatment duration) to that observed in adults. Issues relating to the integration of the treatment into the existing care structure are discussed.
