Editorial Note

Description

This editorial provides an overview of the articles featured in the present issue of Traumatology. The first article sheds light on both the plight of Palestinian political prisoners and the role played by adult attachment styles in the emotional responses to, and processing of, traumatic memories. In contrast to the first article, the second article focuses on the terror experienced by Israelis. The third article focuses on the revolutionary treatment of eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). The final paper provides the reader with a first-hand account of helping traumatized people living in poverty and enduring various difficulties in Albania at the time of the war waging in neighboring Kosovo. These articles raise important issues for modern traumatology.
