Support for EMDR: 'Counterpoint: Emperor's new clothes?': Comment

Addresses S. Joseph's critical commentary on the original article by F. Shapiro and L. Maxfield which reported on the efficacy of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR). The current author offers support for EMDR, disputing the validity of Joseph's claims that EMDR lacks the appropriate evidence (in regards to its efficacy) necessary for its professional acceptance.
