The quantitative analysis of EEG representing a localized psychogenic amnesia and its resolution by eye movement desensitization and reprocessing psychotherapy

I began this study by asking the question, "Does eye movement desensitization and reprocessing make any observable difference in the function of the brain?" This derived from my therapeutic work with EMDR, and my interest in research utilizing the quantitative analysis of electroencephalography or QEEG, in the evaluation of psychiatric dysfunction. The technique of QEEG, also known as neurometric analysis when discriminate analyzes are run (and loosely referred to as "brain mapping" because of the pretty colored maps that are produced) includes the analysis of frequency compositions of electroencephalographs, in various frequency bands, i.e., beta, alpha, theta and delta frequency bands.
