Intervening early: The use of EMDR with children and families affected by trauma
Description
In recent years, parents, teachers, and other professionals have specifically requested help from Educational Psychologists in supporting children affected by trauma. Educational Psychologists are ideally placed to intervene quickly and effectively to provide appropriate and timely treatment for individual children and families. Children referred include those with specific fears, enuresis, tantrums, and school refusal. Case material illustrating the use of EMDR with infants, young children, and adolescents will be presented.
