Modified resource development and installation (RDI) procedures with dissociative clients
Description
The Resource Development Installation (RDI) intervention described here focuses on helping dissociative clients develop resources to address their issues. There are three steps to the intervention: Step 1. Introduces EMDR and the procedure. Step 2. Introduces inner focus and allowing whatever emerges in experience to emerge, just noticing without eye movements. Step 3. Applies the EMDR intervention when an appropriate target emerges during a session. There are two important concerns when using the modified RDI Protocol with clients: speed and too much positive. This chapter presents the modified RDI procedures script.
