Description

Based on clinical observation over many years, this author has found that processing an event using the Standard EMDR Protocol may leave effect-laden sensory material associated with the event unprocessed. The initial observation came from the treatment of a Vietnam veteran who reported being triggered by a noise following the completed processing of a combat trauma. Initial work developed into two different uses of running a tape to look for arousal. {Excerpt]
