EMDR, sexual confusion, and god-image: A case study
Description
The article describes the case of a 40-year-old married Caucasian male with two adopted teenage children who suffered from childhood physical, emotional and sexual abuse and had been struggling for years with depression, anxiety, feelings of extreme shame and sexual confusion involving a certain amount or same-sex attraction (SSA). It notes the ethical considerations in conceptualizing and treating the patient, especially eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
