Enhancing clinical supervision and consultation skills in EMDR

Description

This two-day workshop will outline some of the core-components of EMDR clinical supervision and consultation. It will explore the skills necessary for enhancing the integration between the theory and practice of EMDR as a psychotherapeutic approach. It will explore four aspects:
i. EMDR Personal Development and Action Plan (EMDR PDAP) ii. Teaching and learning of EMDR iii. EMDR clinical skills and development iv. EMDR clinical supervision / consultation skills
The workshop will enable participants to consider and reflect upon their own skills and competency in EMDR and investigate their own development towards becoming EMDR clinical supervisors/ consultants. Various teaching and learning approaches will be used throughout the two-days including didactic teaching, group discussion, role-play, and practicum experience.
