정신역동과 안구운동 민감소실 및 재처리 요법 Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing in psychodynamic perspective

Description

The weight of a psychodynamic approach in the understanding and treatment of psychiatric disorders has reduced significantly during the last decades. For many psychiatrists, however, it still remains one of the familiar frames for looking both at the mental process and psychopathology. The aim of this article was to provide clinicians with an opportunity to understand Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in the context of psychodynamic theory and therapy. First, a brief summary of EMDR process was presented, followed by a discussion of the psychodynamic elements in EMDR. Next, the similarity and disparity between these two seemingly incomparable therapies was addressed. Finally, a few existing articles on use of EMDR during psychoanalytic psychotherapy were summarized.
