EMDR with eating disorders

Description

Many clinicians struggle to provide effective treatment for Eating Disorders, devastatingly difficult disorders for the client, the client’s family, and the clinician. This workshop examines Eating Disorders as coping mechanisms and EMDR as the treatment that can work this coping mechanism out of a job. Participants will learn how using EMDR to target both big “T” traumas and little “t” traumas can reduce Eating Disordered episodes, and allow the client to develop healthier coping mechanisms. The presenter will present her unpublished research using EMDR in the treatment of Bulimia as well as show treatment videos with eating disordered patients.
