EMDR and warrior camp

Description

This workshop will describe the daily EMDR treatment of 12 active duty warriors and OEF/OIF veterans during Warrior Camp®, a 7-day intensive residential program designed to address Combat-related PTSD. Participants will be able to: list 3 ways to assess client’s readiness to begin EMDR processing; demonstrate the applicability of complimentary practices for enhanced resource development; and, identify and strengthen between-session coping skills so that greater integration of material can be facilitated. The presentation will be enriched by film clips of some aspects of the program, including interviews with warriors and staff.
