'Survival in solitude': An account of almost five years in total isolation and the return to everyday life

Terry Waite will speak about the events which lead to his captivity in Lebanon. He will make particular reference to his experience in strict solitary confinement for almost five years and the methods he devised to enable him to retain both mental and physical health. He will also discuss the effect on him of being in the company of other hostages for the final months of captivity and the help he received on returning to mainstream life once again.
