Finding a mountaintop for everyone: Broadening the application of EMDR-PEP protocol

Description

This presentation explores effectiveness of brief EMDR Performance Enhancement Psychology Protocol with children and adolescents in areas of athletic performance and test anxiety using both objective assessment and subjective reporting. Focus is a) explaining the key differences in this protocol including working backward from future prong focus to targeting present blocks, and installing resources with hope of achieving goals b) discussing performance enhancement as an effective starting place in the absence of a presenting big “T” trauma c) widening the definition of EMDR performance work to include clinical issues that impact behavior. Case presentation includes audio/video samples.
