Effective interventions for complex trauma: A mindfulness approach using EMDR and internal family systems therapy

Description

Complex trauma presents challenges to the EMDR trained clinician. Internal Family Systems, an ego state therapy, holds many elements consistent with mindfulness, as does EMDR. Both modalities are positive, non-pathological, non-judgmental, present-centered, body-based, and emphasize the release of constraints that obscure the already whole spiritual Self that is our true nature.
