Complex PTSD and EMDR: Treating the dissociative elements

Description

This workshop will focus on structural dissociation and ego states. Specific emphasis will be placed on the recognition and management of dissociation when it interferes with various phases of EMDR, particularly during Desensitization. Dr. Gelinas will describe methods of working with ego state phobias of traumatic material when preparing for trauma processing. She will also provide protocols for working with dissociation generally, and for working with clients diagnosed with DID or DDNOS.
