Integrating dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and EMDR with suicidal and self-injuring clients

Description

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has been shown to effectively reduce life-threatening and therapy interfering behaviors, which frequently prevent the use of EMDR therapy in healing the underlying trauma. This workshop presents our experience integrating DBT principles and skill building into the eight phases of EMDR therapy for safe trauma work with risky clients.
