Therapy bridges past with present to cope with future
Description
In recent months, Bessman-Quintero, a licensed independent social worker with Catholic Charities, has used the therapy with human trafficking victims, survivors of motor vehicle crashes, immigrants who fled their home countries because of civil war and patients with chronic pain. She and another colleague received EMDR training in February, which was funded by Mercy Medical Center. [Excerpt]
