New frontiers for EMDRIA

EMDR is poised to make advancements in recognition and acceptance. As the membership organization dedicated to training, standard setting, and advancing the recognition and legitimacy of EMDR, EMDRIA is the vehicle that will drive broader adoption and effective treatment in EMDR. In this presentation, you will learn how to engage and amplify the efforts of EMDRIA so that you as a clinician, and EMDRIA as an organization, can have more reach and impact. Learning objectives: At the end of the presentation, attendees will be able to:
Define the developmental path of EMDRIA as a professional organization, and understand how to engage in advancing EMDR practice through member action
Articulate the opportunities and impediments that are present as EMDRIA moves to a new level of development and activity
Understand and be prepared to act as clinicians in ways that will enhance recognition of EMDR, and build members’ practice profile through engagement in the Association
