Trauma affects people in different ways
Description
Joining a support group is a great way to meet others who have experienced similar struggles. Finding a therapist that you like and trust can be beneficial. There are evidence based therapies and medications available to help people who are living with symptoms of trauma. One such technique is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR is a therapeutic approach used for helping a client with processing traumatic events and work through their experience. EMDR is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. It is commonly used for military service members.
