EMDR refresher
Description
This presentation will involve a review of AIP and its role in conceptualization and planning; the essentials of good History gathering; the importance of resourcing in Preparation; effective target set up in Assessment Phase; managing the elements of Desensitization; appropriate Installation and Body Scan, and procedures for good Closure of complete and incomplete sessions; and the Importance of fidelity to the Shapiro model of EMDR.
Learning objectives:
1) understand AIP as the guiding principle of EMDR;
2) review and clarify the procedures of the eight phases of EMDR reprocessing;
3) explain the value and importance of maintaining fidelity to the Standard Protocol.
