A review of resourcing in EMDR-informed therapeutic methods
Description
As an EMDR therapist, one needs to use resourcing methods that are appropriate, depending on where the client is in the healing journey and what methods are available that have been found to be effective. This review presents various methods of resourcing that have been used in EMDR therapy and EMDR-informed therapeutic methods. It categorizes the resourcing methods according to their use. In a way that aids the therapist in the decision-making moments during the treatment, it presents resourcing methods in the realms of cognitive, somatic, relational, energetic, behavioral, etc. The review also incorporates resourcing methods for specific conditions such as dissociation. Many resourcing methods that have been developed or published since the earlier review article of Leeds (2009) have been included here.
