The healing of relational trauma - EMDR case study of dissociation

Description

The purpose of this study is to explore the applicability and efficacy of EMDR in treating clients with relational trauma and dissociative (DD) in Taiwan.

Case study was conducted to examine clients' subjective expereinces and changing courses throughout the therapeutic process.

A conceptual model of EMDR intervention for treating relational trauma and DD among Taiwanese patiens was developed for future research and clinical applications.

Findings from this study demonstrated treatment outcomes targeting healing of relational trauma and reduction of DD symptoms and highlighted the importance of adaptation of EMDR in Taiwanese culture.
