EMDRとsomatic experiencing療法の統合的使用 : トップダウンとボトムアップのバランスを保つためにIntegrated use of EMDR and somatic experiencing: Balancing top-down and bottom-up approach

Description

In Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive aspects of reprocessing are focused. However, the means of facilitating physical aspects of reprocessing are insufficient, which result in incomplete processing. On the other had, Somatic Experiencing (SE) recognizes that traumatic responses are incomplete defense responses and aims to complete the, Therefore, if EMDR and SE were combined, they could have mutually complementary actions. Furthermore, processing speed in EMDR is high, which causes more mental and physical burdens on clients, whereas in SE, titration is considered important for not exceeding clients' processing capacity (tolerance to distress). Therefore, integrating EMDR and SE, EMDR is safer. This paper discusses integrated models of EMDR and SE by using clinical case studies of my clients, as well as complementary ideas in the background of SE and EMDR.
