Neuromechanics of EMDR
Description
In this timely keynote, Dr. Ruth Lanius will review current and recent research on the brain circuitry involved in sensory integration and memory processing, important components of Adaptive Information Processing (AIP). Dr Lanius will discuss clinical and neuroimaging findings from her most recent EMDR Therapy treatment outcome study. Her presentation will also include description of a potential neurological mechanism underlying psychotherapeutic change in EMDR Therapy. Dr. Lanius will discuss the clinical relevance of her research findings and their applications in work with traumatized clients.
