Clinical psychologist and professor of Anxiety and Behavior Disorders at the University of Amsterdam, Ad de Jongh heads the research department of Psychotrauma Expertise Center (PSYTREC), a mental health institution in the Netherlands that uses a short and highly intensive treatment program for Complex PTSD. He is an approved trainer for EMDR Europe [https://emdr-europe.org/] and, as an expert in the treatment of anxiety disorders, is involved in research aimed to determine the efficacy of evidence-based, trauma-focused treatments for a wide variety of patient groups, including traumatized children and people with intellectual disabilities, psychosis, and other complex psychiatric conditions. De Jongh has co-authored 6 books and more than 400 articles and book chapters.
