EMDR bei akuter emotionaler erregung - Fallbericht aus einer justizvollzugsanstalt

Der Fallbericht beschreibt die Erfahrungen mit einer experimentellen Anwendung von EMDR außerhalb einer traumaspezifischen Behandlung. Der Einsatz der EMDRMethode erfolgte in einer therapeutischen Situation, in der der Patient unter emotional hoher Erregung stand und für allgemeine verhaltenstherapeutische Interventionen kaum noch erreichbar erschien. Der Bericht vermittelt außerdem Eindrücke aus der therapeutischen Arbeit im Rahmen einer Justizvollzugsanstalt (JVA) als externer Mitarbeiter.

The case report discusses the outcome of an experimental application of EMDR in treatment that was not trauma-specific. EMDR was used in a situation where the patient was highly aroused emotionally and for that reason seemed unlikely to respond to conventional behaviour-therapeutic interventions. The report also contains the impressions gained by an independent external therapist working in the context of a correctional facility.
