<text>Posited advantages of intensive trauma-focused therapy include treatment efficiency, rapidity of results, reduced risk of treatment-related destabilization, reduced risk of treatment disruption, and reduced total treatment cost (Greenwald, Camden et al, 2019). Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is the best tolerated and mot efficient of the leading trauma therapies (Greenwald, Hell et al, 2019). Progressive counting (PC) has been found to be about as effective and at least as efficient as EMDR (Greenwald, McClintock, & Bailey, 2013; Greenwald, McClintock, Jarecki & Monaco, 2015). Intensive EMDR and PC have both done well (Greenwald, Camden et al, 2019; Hurley, 2018; van Woudenberg et al, 2018), but have not been directly compared.</text>
