Family treatment for parents and children with child abuse

The author has been working on a family treatment for parents and children with child abuse. Most of these parents and children have a combination of developmental trauma disorder for children and complex post-traumatic stress disroder (PTSD) for parents. Treatment of developmental trauma disorder and complex PTSD is significantly different from general psychiatric treatment, and the factors that impede treatment are summarized. The EMDR/TS (eye movement desensitization reprocessing/traumatic stress) protocol developed by the author for treatment of these parents and children was introduced. This is a combination of simplified trauma processing using tactile pulsars and a small prescription of traditional Chinese medicines and psychotropic drugs. We invesigated the pathology and countermeasures of clients canceling the appointment at the last minutes that frequently occurs in the treatment of complex PTSD.
