Child empowerment EMDR procedures in EMDR C&A beyond the obviously trauma

Background
Trauma is at the origin of scientific support for the use of EMDR1,2,3,4,5,6,,8. In the hierarchy of trauma and especially in complex trauma, we must deal with situations where their intensity, lack of resources and extension in time determine and have determined many of the adaptive information processing mechanisms 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,15 . In the classic therapeutic approaches of EMDR that face resistance, difficulties or developmental situations the Child Empowerment EMDR, CEEMDR16,17,18,19 (Figure 1), allows the EMDR to be placed beyond T(t)rauma and all its complexities.
Method
This clinical protocol allows, in the binding bidirectional between children and parents or caregivers, a procedure established in a safety register where through the child's training and control, she will access, in a self-managed therapeutic window, to different elements that make her uncomfortable16,17,18,19.
Results
Beside working with traumatic events, CEEMDR also allow to work beyond trauma and address situations of developmental distress and existential fears, facilitating the breaking of resistances, defenses and develop an integrated security model. This adaptive information processing (AIP)9 becomes an adaptive processing of information in development (AIPD)19, because it respects in an empowerment model the natural developmental of the child or younger and the information process that comes with1,7,8.
Conclusions
Through the visualization of several clinical and educational videos it is possible to verify the application of these innovative protocol in different clinical contexts and to confirm the power that it has in the resolution of different clinical situations and others beyond obviously trauma16,17,18,19.
