EMDR therapy with complex PTSD clients through the lenses of resiliency

Description

Many clinicians are trained in the treatment of single traumatic events, but are not fully equipped to treat Complex PTSD. In this training, you will develop confidence in your ability to successfully organize and prioritize your client’s treatment goals. You will learn how to compassionately and effectively work with clients who have experienced multiple traumatic events and prolonged trauma exposure. A resilience-informed approach to care recognizes that every human being has an intrinsic drive toward wholeness once they have sufficient resources in place. Therapy is always a combination of head and heart, of science and art. This integrative approach includes EMDR Therapy, Somatic Psychology, and Parts Work Therapies within a foundation of relational psychotherapy that engages clients in a richly transformational interpersonal process. You will learn valuable strategies that will allow you to successfully address the dysregulated affect and dissociative symptoms that accompany Complex PTSD.
