Clinical dharma: Mindfulness for EMDR clinicians

Description

Mindfulness is one of the posited mechanisms of action of EMDR therapy. Mindfulness had a great impact on Dr. Shapiro before, during and after her “walk in the park.” Mindfulness has an impact on EMDR therapy success from both directions: as a tool for the clinician for their own self-care and presence, and for our clients as they are guided through the 8 Phase protocol. This experience will include principles and an interactive practice of mindfulness for EMDR therapists and healers.
