Paradoxes de la position du/de la psychothérapeute entre pratique et recherche Paradoxes of the position of the psychotherapist between practice and research

La recherche en psychothérapie, qu’en général la/le le psychothérapeute peut conduire seul·e à partir de sa propre pratique, conduit à un doublement du paradoxe de l'observateur. D’une part, comme dans la plupart des recherches en sciences humaines et sociales, l’observateur, que l’on pose comme ayant pour but la production de connaissances, fait partie du site de l’observation. D'autre part, l’observateur ne fait pas seulement partie de la pratique observée, il intervient plus ou moins activement sur le site de celle-ci. L’article expose la mise en place d'une recherche sur l'impact d'une thérapie EMDR auprès de femmes perturbées par un vécu traumatique de leur accouchement. Le dispositif de recherche prévoit de séparer les positions d’informateur, de thérapeute et de chercheur, qui sont portées par des personnes différentes. Mais il ne lève pas toutes les distorsions résultant de la multiplication des interlocuteurs (soignants, chercheurs, patientes, comité d'éthique, etc.) et donc des étapes dans la construction de l'étude et dans la remontée des informations.
Research in psychotherapy, which in general the psychotherapist can conduct alone from his/her own practice, leads to a doubling of the observer’s paradox. On the one hand, as in most research in the humanities and social sciences, the observer is part of the site of the observation. On the other hand, he is not only part of the observed practice, he intervenes more or less actively on the site of the latter. The article presents the implementation of a research programm on the impact of EMDR therapy on women disturbed by a traumatic experience of childbirth. The research method plans to separate the positions of informant, therapist and researcher, which are held by different people. But it does not remove all the distortions resulting from the multiplication of interlocutors (caregivers, researchers, patients, ethics committee, etc.) and therefore of the stages in the construction of the study and in the feedback of informations.
