Group EMDR in Ōtautahi Christchurch

Description

The idea of a group of strangers working through trauma memories using eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) alongside each other without the significant risk of re-traumatising each other and achieving meaningful results can be hard to imagine. Despite this, in Aotearoa New Zealand and around the world, many clinicians are successfully using EMDR in a group setting to treat trauma. In Ōtautahi, we have had positive feedback from clients as well as meaningful clinical improvements using EMDR in this context since 2019.
