Developed over 40 years ago, EMDR therapy has undergone extensive research as an evidence-based treatment for PTSD and a host of anxiety disorders in children and adolescents, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, separation anxiety, school avoidance, panic disorders, phobias, and compulsion-related disorders. Anxiety can result from many factors, such as bullying, attachment disruptions, medical procedures, exclusion, and social/academic challenges.
