Title A name given to the resource Randomized controlled trial on the provision of the EMDR-IGTP-OTS-R for reduction of posttraumatic stress disorder symptomology with mental health professionals in Ukraine during the war Description An account of the resource This randomized controlled trial (RCT) sought to measure the efficacy of the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Integrative Group Treatment Protocol for Ongoing Traumatic Stress—Remote (EMDR-IGTP-OTS-R) on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptomology, subjective well-being, and resilience in mental health professionals living and working in Ukraine during the war. A total of 50 participants participated in the study, with a mean age of 41.48 years. The treatment group (TG) reported a significant reduction of PTSD symptomology as reported on PCL-5 at 6-week follow-up [χ2(2) = 9.449, P = 0.009] in comparison with the control group. Results of this study show the EMDR-IGTP-OTS-R protocol as a beneficial treatment for the reduction of PTSD symptomology in those who are living and working in an ongoing war-related traumatic stress situation.
