Strategies and pitfalls with early session EMDR in complex trauma: What helps and what hinders

Description

Complex cases often present the therapist with a confused picture and the dilemma of how to “find a way in” swiftly but safely under time-limited conditions imposed by agency or waiting lists. This workshop explores ways in which therapists can unwittingly obstruct process and highlights strategies to counter this and facilitate early and effective access to treatment targets and BLS processing.
