Using EMDR in a generic CAMHS setting

This presentation focuses on the use of EMDR as an effective intervention for children and young people in a generic CAMHS setting. Areas to be discussed include the value of timelines when formulating with clients to incorporate traumatic memories; favourite resource techniques when preparing clients for desensitisation; the use of specific questionnaires to help evaluate EMDR and the use of ‘wise self’ and narrative techniques during desensitisation. Case illustrations and clinic data will also be presented.
