The way forward for EMDR: Turning practice based evidence into evidence based practice

The experience of clinicians tells us that EMDR can be used for so much more than PTSD but this is not reflected in research. Methodologies that suit the clinical environment will be discussed, including practicalities of research, what to investigate, how to get a research question and how to disseminate your results. In conclusion, clinical practice can produce academically sound research and contribute to knowledge whilst doing the best for your patient. The recommendation is to try it for yourself.
