Treating recent trauma and beyond

Description

Today trauma is becoming more and more common as is the traumatized client seeking EMDR treatment. This workshop will teach the most recent innovations in the treatment of recent traumatic events (ERP. A-TIP. R-TEP, RE). This workshop will introduce participants to the latest refinements of the recent events protocols (ERP: Gary Quinn, A-TIP: Roy Kiessling, and R-TEP: Elan Shapiro and Bruit Laub and RE: Francine Shapiro). Participants will practice treating a single incident using A-TIP Procedures. Learning Objectives: 1. Participants will be able to describe the Processing Continuum of bilateral stimulation, i.e. ERP, EMD, EMDr and EMDR 2. Participants will be able to understand the procedures involved in implementing the acute stress continuum (ERP, A-TIP, R-TEP and RE) protocols in the treatment of recent trauma. 3. Participants will be able to discuss to demonstrate desensitization of a single incident using the A-TIP procedures.
