Excellence in EMDR: Working with a highly dissociated (non-DID) client, a hands on case study

Description

Therapists are often reluctant to pursue EMDR with highly dissociated complex PTSD clients (non-DID). This workshop provides hope and hands on strategies for this client population. We briefly review the neurobiology of trauma and the AIP model with application to a case of complex PTSD. This is presented in a master class format, enhanced by lecture, video and case analysis. Fidelity to the EMDR 8 Phase Protocol is the template for case conceptualization and processing. Practitioners will learn how client/therapist attunement integrated with elegant EMDR skills provides a path to healing.
