Treating chronic pain with EMDR therapy

Description

Studies show that patients diagnosed with PTSD have a higher risk of developing chronic pain. Left untreated, pain can evolve over time into more serious immune system diseases or into debilitating chronic regional pain disorders. Working with pain early in EMDR therapy can reduce pain distress and intensity, further reducing the possibility of complications in the future. Based on Mark Grant’s protocol for Chronic Pain, this workshop will demonstrate assessing and preparing clients for that protocol, covering all aspects of the 8-phase protocol.
