Spiritual resources & EMDR therapy

Regardless of the therapist’s spiritual or philosophical mindset, clients can be led to articulate their own very personal beliefs. These beliefs may prove a gold mine of resource, a minefield of traumatic, EMDR targets, or both. Either way, the payoff for taking the plunge is great. This workshop will increase the clinician’s skill at obtaining the language, images, beliefs and sensory experiences of a client’s spiritual resources and skillfully utilize them in discussions of safe/comfortable place, target identification, the construction of cognitive interweaves and post EMDR support.
