How to treat OCD with EMDR: The ‘ECO’ trial RCT

Description

The presentation draws on experiences from the ECO trial, currently taking place in the Leeds (UK) IAPT service. The randomised trial is comparing EMDR (John Marr’s Adapted Phobia Protocol) with CBT (Exposure and Response Prevention) for clients presenting to the service with OCD, over 16 sessions of treatment. We will present some cases – ‘the good, the bad, the ugly’ – and look at themes coming out of our experience and share any practical tips we have picked up along the way.
