“EMDR is an extremely valuable tool for therapists,” said Rich Domenico, a Boston psychotherapist who is certified in the therapy. “EMDR sort of replicates REM sleep, and at that level we can desensitize, reprocess and integrate traumatic or ‘stuck’ material.
