Using EMDR in groups

Description

There are many notable merits afforded by a group therapy setting. For example, it is cost effective and ensures services are provided in a more timely fashion. Contrary to the idea that the economical and practical benefits of group therapy come at the cost of quality, some scholars argue that a group approach may in fact be superior to individual treatment. The very act of relating to one another and sharing experiences is therapeutic. Group EMDR protocols may be integrated into practice to treat a variety of clients. They may be creatively applied in school settings with children; in private practice; or even with groups of clinicians assisting them in remaining resilient while confronting vicarious trauma. This presentation will focus on using EMDR G-TEP in your practice.
