EMDR in a NHS complex trauma service

Description

EMDR therapy is accepted as a treatment for PTSD. Working in an NHS service where people present with Complex PTSD, are on the dissociative spectrum and come with different diagnoses, this can be a challenge. The workshop explores how EMDR therapy can be used in all Phases of the work with this group of clients. It explores current advances in the use of EMDR therapy and presents clinical cases to illustrate the above. The psychological and economic bene ts of working with these clients are explored. The issues around vicarious traumatisation are also discussed.
