La découverte en 1987 de l’EMDR par Francine Shapiro a révolutionné l’approche des traumatismes psychiques, et par voie d’extension celle de toute la pathologie mentale. Les études concernant différentes applications sont aujourd’hui nombreuses. Pour ma part, je me suis aperçu dès 1994 que l’on ne pouvait comprendre les modifications profondes que le traitement EMDR apportait aux sujets (notammen ceux spectaculaires relatifs aux traumatismes psychiques) si l’on ne prenait pas en considération, au sens d’Antonio Damasio, à la fois le fonctionnement du corps et de l’esprit. C’est la raison pour laquelle en 2015, j’ai écrit, “Essai d’anatomie psychique basé sur les neurosciences” tome 1 de, “Psychoneurobiologie - Fondement et prolongements de l’EMDR (qui a été traduit et édité également en anglais). Au cours de ma présentation je voudrai pouvoir mettre en évidence la percée extraordinaire que l’EMDR permet dans la compréhension profonde de la psyché et des traitements de ses dysfonctionnements.
