The role of bilateral stimulation in EMDR - A multi-channel near-infrared spectroscopy study

Description

In EMDR therapy bilateral stimulation (BLS) while recalling a memory can be presented in three ways: by tactile, tone and eye movement (EM). The neural mechanisms and the role of BLS in EMDR remain unknown. EMDR treatment employees two strategies: "Desensitization" and "Resource development and installation (RDI)." I our previous study, we researched the neural role of BLS in both stages: Desensitization and RDI.
